OUR APPROACH

Privacy without the complicated language.

LYNDON provides IT and technical support from Adelaide, South Australia. This notice explains how personal information is handled when you browse this website or make an enquiry. We aim to make it easy to understand what we collect, why we need it and how to contact us about it.

01

Who we are

This website operates under the LYNDON — Professional IT & Technical Services name. You can contact us about privacy at support@lyndon.net.au.

02

Information we collect

If you send an enquiry, we receive the details you choose to provide, including:

  • Your name and reply email address.
  • Your message and details of the website, server or technical service you need help with.
  • Any further information you voluntarily provide when we correspond about your enquiry or an agreed job.

Standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser information and request times, may also be processed by our web hosting service for normal operation, security and troubleshooting.

03

How we use your information

We use the information you send to reply to your enquiry, understand the work involved, prepare a quotation if requested, deliver agreed services and maintain relevant business records.

We do not use website enquiries to build advertising profiles or sell enquiry details to advertisers.

04

Email, hosting and other providers

The enquiry form sends your message to support@lyndon.net.au using the website's server-side email service. That address is forwarded to the mailbox used to manage enquiries. The current form does not save the message in a separate website enquiry database.

Website hosting, email delivery and related technical providers may process information as needed to operate those services. Depending on the providers and mail systems involved, information may be processed or stored outside Australia. We do not claim that all enquiry information stays within Australia.

If technical work later requires access to client systems or confidential material, suitable access and information-handling arrangements should be agreed separately before that material is supplied.

05

Cookies and website data

The current website does not include advertising pixels or analytics tracking scripts in its page code, and the enquiry form does not create a customer-tracking cookie.

The form uses a hidden spam-check field and a short submission-rate check. That check uses a hash derived from the submitting IP address and a timestamp stored temporarily by the server. Hosting systems may also keep normal web access and error logs.

We use Google reCAPTCHA v2 on the enquiry form to help prevent automated spam. Loading and using the verification checkbox involves a third-party service operated by Google, which may process browser, device, IP address and interaction information and use cookies or similar technologies. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. The website server checks the verification response with Google before accepting an enquiry.

If additional analytics, advertising cookies or third-party services are introduced, we will update this notice to explain them.

06

Security and keeping records

We aim to limit access to enquiry information to people and service providers who need it for the purposes described above. Email and internet systems are not completely risk-free, so please do not send passwords, access keys or confidential customer records through the public form.

Correspondence may be kept for as long as reasonably needed to manage enquiries and service work, satisfy record-keeping requirements or resolve issues. You can ask us to review, correct or delete information about you, although some records may need to be retained.

07

Access, corrections and privacy concerns

If you want to know what enquiry information we hold about you, correct an error, request deletion or raise a concern, contact support@lyndon.net.au. Please include enough information for us to identify the enquiry, without sending passwords or unnecessary sensitive details.

We will review your request and respond, including explaining if information needs to be retained. If a privacy complaint remains unresolved and the matter falls within its jurisdiction, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

08

Changes to this notice

We may update this page if our website, services or information-handling practices change. The date at the top of the page indicates when it was most recently updated.
